Happy mother's day

My life has been so blessed because of my wife. She has done so much for me. I don't know were I'd be with out her. I just want her to know I  love her and am trying my best  to walk. Yesterday in the mail I got an answer to our prayers. A walker that forces me to walk correctly. All I have to do is stand up straight and putting one foot in front of the another and conuniue to do that for as long as I can or till I drop dead  And we all know I ain't going to drop dead. At least not this week I hope.

We used my wife's bonus to pay for the walker. Now ask me does she love me or what I give two thumps up. She  just was not sent to Greeley to find me she was sent to show me the right way to live, to love God first, and to not take life for granted. Life is good if you put  God first and  have someone to love!

LOVE THE ONE YOU ARE WITH, TAKE IT FROM ME LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT.

you only live once and remember a woman is like a rose IF YOU WATER IT IT WILL last along time AND IF YOU DON'T! good and you  know the rest PEACE I'm out love you hun

See Pat walk!

Here is Pat walking away from the door after he unlocked and opened it for his visitors.  He started working with this new walker last night and is just on fire with it.  We posted his first walk on Google+ but couldn't figure out how to get it here.

We are SO proud of him and we hope you are too!

Backyard pics

Here are a few pictures of our backyard now that they have finished putting in the ramp.  I think it turned out really nice.

The Patcave

This is what Pat sees when he heads up the stairs to his Patcave.

Now the Patcave.  There is a half bath and then just a large open space.  It is hard to get an idea of the space from the pictures, but he has about 400 square feet up there.

House pics

So I am going to attempt to post pictures of our new house.  Here goes nothing!

 First the living room.

Now the dining room/kitchen.

My craftroom:

The master bath/closet

The laundry room

The other two bathrooms

Our spare room

The Playroom

Happy work anniversary to me!

It's hard for me to believe but I hit my one year mark at the Idaho Real Estate Commission on April 15th.  Time has flown. I am so grateful for how things worked out. Here`s to many more with the State of Idaho.

It's a bird, it's a plane... No, it's your dog

So ever since we moved in, I have been really wanting to get our doggie door put in.  It was a major selling feature of the house for Pat, and due to a slight miscommunication (don't laugh Mom), the builders took it out.  Well, they finally reinstalled it yesterday, and so Hershey can come and go from the garage to the backyard as he wants.  That is, if he isn't too scared.

When I got home, he was cowering in the back yard with just his nose through the corner of it.  His eyes were very reproachful and he seemed to be saying, what is this new torture I'm in for?  So I very kindly went over and held the flap up and tried to explain to him how he could come through.  He wasn't really interested so I went into the laundry room and shut the door behind me, but didn't lock it.  Then I decided I should go out and get the mail.  So I went through the front door, and for some unknown reason, decided to leave it slightly ajar.  I bet you know what comes next. LOL, sadly, I didn't see it coming.

I was to the corner of the house when suddenly I was passed by a brown streak.  After staring across the road at the neighbor's yard, when I realized it was a dog.  And then the horrible moment when I realized it was MY dog.  Somehow he made it from the backyard through the doggy door, was able to push open the closed laundry room door, run through the living room and straight out the front door without me noticing him!

The only way I could lure him back through the house and into the garage was with a piece of stale baloney I found in our fridge.  He loves the dog door now, he spends most of his time outside, and every day I drag his blanket and crocodile pillow back into the house so he can sleep on it at night, and every day he drags Crocky and the blanket outside again.  Silly dog...

Why did the tennis ball cross the road?

Because it is stuck to the bottom of Pat's walker and he wanted to go to Wal-Mart which is just across the fence from our new house.  Okay he isn't walking to Wal-Mart yet, but probably soon!!!

What's up with us?  New house pictures coming soon.  As soon as we get all of the way unpacked that is.  Hopefully in a week or two.  Since all you would see is mess, construction, and boxes right now.  It wouldn't be very fun.

Pat’s working on his walking, but he has been pretty secretive about it.  He wants to surprise everyone.  :)  I will just say that he is starting to walk a little (very little) straighter and he is only falling about 5-7 times a day now.  I know that seems like a lot, but he doesn’t use the wheelchair in the house and he has some pretty bad leaning and turning habits that he is having to overcome.  I think it really helps that he is on his own for most of the day and he hasn’t earned his TV yet (25 crawls a day for 10 days) so he gets pretty bored.  He even made up his own exercise routine that he has been following this last week.  For once, he did it on his own without anyone bugging him.  This might be the time that it works...  I hope at least!  He has figured out a way to use the wall as leverage so that he can stand up from the floor with his walker and has started to do some walking without his orthotics and very occasionally without his shoes and socks.  I think it is helping his balance.  Be expecting great things, but don't tell him I told you.  He doesn't like the pressure of everyone knowing that he is working on it because he thinks it sets your expectations too high.

I say, how can we be his cheerleaders if he keeps it all a secret?  :)
